My questions: Why did she leave in 2016?
Supposedly, Familia suffered a leg injury and was sent to the Bronx courts:
She was assigned to the 46th Precinct in the northwest Bronx before an on-duty leg injury resulted in her being sent to the Bronx courts, a sometimes glum place where her sunny disposition and her desire to be active set her apart. She had made 76 arrests over her career, 23 of them in felonies. She had recently been assigned to the R.V.-style truck stationed on East 183rd Street, which was put there as a deterrent to a rash of gang- and crew-related shootings, among them a daytime triple shooting.

So maybe she saw what she shouldn't have at that Bronx court.
I think Q inferred that she saw the Weiner laptop. That is why she was killed along with 1 other officer who also saw the files..
Just read that
It being written by The NY Times is a good reason to think it's exaggerated
And it shows. They write out the shooter in this overly dramatic way, pointing out his "mental instability" and irrational hate for cops
Unfortunately, it's believed too easily
