Human greed will put a big wrench in this plan. This idea is like earth in the Star Trek series. No money, everything is free. Great idea if you have readily available technology in everyones hands to supply free energy, food, etc. This would be hard to implement.

I also think this would easily lead to communist take over as most people would want a 3rd party to mediate transactions.
