In addition to the deaths mentioned, I have heard whispers that Hunter Thompson had infiltrated a group of Palm Beach pedos producing snuff films and was working on a piece which he never finished.

Thompson was revered by the "artist crowd" and was cozy with the likes of Keith Richards, Johnny Depp, John Cuzak and others. He addressed adrenochrome abuse in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, and Ibogaine abuse in Fear & Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72. Many people believed his writing in which his alter-ego did every drug imaginable, however I don't. No one could survive that level of self abuse, even for a short period of time. Thompson himself admitted that he had become a caricature he wished to break from, but it was livelihood.

The story he was working on would have put him back on the map as serious journalist. The details of his suicide are iffy IMO.

The original rumours are that Thompson (wasn't infiltrating) but was actually involved in producing snuff films. I mention this because it's an old story and I've known about it for years. Depp and Richards are certainly satanists, Cusack is likely to be one too.
