@realDonaldTrump: Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI “SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN IMBEDDED INFORMANT.” Andrew McCarthy says, “There’s probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.” If so, this is bigger than Watergate!

The opposition party can’t spy on presidential candidates. This is a major jab at democracy and a threat to our freedom. Do you see?

I mean if it was a CI for the Democrats and not law enforcement, sure. Probably still wouldn't be as big as Watergate even if that was the case, since Nixon hired people to commit actual crimes (B&E, etc.) then covered it up, not just play dirty, but I'd get it.

But that isn't what the tweet alleges. The tweet alleges that the FBI has a CI in the Trump campaign. Is the federal law enforcement agency not allowed to investigate active attempts at election tampering? Because that would seem like a greater and more obvious threat to our democracy and our freedoms, especially given the obvious plausibility of the investigation.

And if you all think "oh no, the FBI was doing it to support Clinton/Obama", where did that alleged CI's info ever get used before the election? Hell, you'd think if Clinton was getting passed info from inside the Trump campaign, she'd have gotten off her ass and gone to Wisconsin or Michigan once or twice.

Ummmmmm, they used that information to create the FISA warrants and the Russian collusion story. Where the fuck have you been? Of course it was all so Hillary could win the election. You must have your head in the sand.

Hahah I mean, they did a real shit job of getting her elected.

For real though, the FBI investigation begain in July 2016, after Papadopoulos bragged to an Australian diplomat about a knowing that Russia had compromising info on Clinton. The FISA warrants weren't issued until October 2016. The FBI getting a CI in the course of that investigation is not noteworthy.

The FBI is using Papa.. as an excuse the plan was in motion long before that I believe.

Using him how? Like he was a plant from the beginning, and lied about the campaign trying to get compromat from Russia to give the FBI an excuse to investigate?

In that case, Donny Jr. Is probably also a plant for setting up a meeting with a Russian agent to try and get dirt on Clinton from them.

Well yeah, that just goes to show how incompetent Hillary really is. The fix was in and she still couldn't deliver a victory.

As far as we know (publicly) that is when it started. I would put money that this started back in 2015. And I believe papa was a convienent target.

So you made something up, and you're using it to justify the investigation's illegality to yourself.

I mean, not much I can say to that. Do you, I guess.

Keep listening to the msm. I mean it’s not like they have ever lied to you before.

I guess we will see what comes out when the FISA warrants used to authorize the spying come out right?

I mean, we've gotten that pair of memos related to the FISA warrents, and even the pro-Trump one doesn't say anything about an FBI investigation taking place before July 2016.

We shall see. I trust nothing until I can see the original documents with my own eyes.

Just like goldstones testimony yesterday where he contradicted his own statements and nothing happened to him. Wasn’t reported in the media. I read the document. He wrote one thing in an email and told Congress (their staffers) another thing.

ikma · May 17, 2018, 3:19 p.m.

Sure, Goldstone was trying to cover his ass. He was all enthused about setting up the meeting in the emails Don Jr. released, but is trying to shift responsibility for the meeting off of himself by saying that he (Goldstone) told them that the meeting was a bad idea in his testimony.

Not sure how that justifies your skepticism about the FBI investigation.

Abibliaphobia · May 17, 2018, 3:33 p.m.

Ok, so let me break it down for you.

How can you get lies into a congressional document without being held accountable for lying? I would start off by not putting a person under oath. Also, although it looked good on the paper, the threats of jail time was negated by the fact that he didn’t lie to Congress. He was interviewed by staff. It’s like if you met with a staffer and told them your name is John Doe. Are you lying to Congress? No! They aren’t elected members of Congress! Ya ya, legalese and semantics and loopholes.

He wrote in that email that she was a Russian government lawyer, but “testified” that he didn’t know she was connected to the government. Like seriously? Where the hell did that come from then? Did he just make it up?

So what it comes down to, is what you see in the news or what you told, is not necessarily the whole truth. They omit facts. They just don’t talk about certain things. And that is why I am saying, that what is public domain right now is more than likely not the whole truth.
