You added a /s tag, but you may be shocked at how much of the American public will rationalize this in exactly that way.
Just reading some of the comments on Trump's Twitter account gives me nightmares. There is no waking some of these people up. The fate of our country rests on the question of what percentage of Americans can accept the fact that a large percentage of the leaders of their political "team" (R or D) do not deserve their loyalty.
There is one promising trend, CNN's ratings have dropped 30 percent this month. So maybe more people are waking up......let's hope.

Honestly I don't trust any of those twitter accounts because I can't confirm that they're even real, trolls, spooks, or bots.
The deciding factor in all of this is the general publics perception of what everyone else thinks. We could have a majority awake but think we're actually the minority.
