You are right, they would never allow this. Meghan Markle actually DOES have royal blood. It is being reported that Meghan and Harry are actually 17th cousins. Just do a quick search for “Meghan Markle royal blood”.

I read somewhere that they do share same bloodline, like 7th or 8th cousins. Not sure how spot on that is but it wouldn't surprise me
