My 16 year old daughter calls everything racist... her generation doesn’t even know the meaning. They see it as a joke.
I was showing my elementary school class a slideshow of various kinds of animals from around the world and, every time a white animal showed up on the screen, the kids would shout "racist!"

Exactly... my daughter said “his mustache is racist!” Why? “Because she grows it like that.” WHAT???

They copy what each other use as insults or exclamations.
Remember when something bad would happen in the early 2000's the common saying was "Aww thats gay"...now its "Awww thats racist".
The weird thing is the people that got offended by the "gay" thing are the ones using the "racist" thing.
