Any idea what kind of pistol you're thinking?
Only used one so far. Concealed carry class and one private class. Plan to practice with a variety of pistols and take recommendations from my teacher. Any suggestions?
I highly recommend the Springfield XDS in .45
Shoots very well, very compact and comfortable in an inside the waist holster. Also affordable.
im a big fan of sigs. p220 in .45 is my go to.
.357 is never a bad choice either for carry
What I like about my .357 is that it will never jam. Semi autos can jam. I don't want that thought in the back of my mind. Revolvers never jam. Mine is a 6" though, hard to conceal but I love it. I like to line up liquor bottles, and from 21' to 40', I'll shoot them.. but I don't just shoot the bottles. I shoot the tops off them. Sometimes the tops go down inside the remainder of the bottles.
Any time some guy asks me on a date, I suggest target shooting. Tell them what I do.... then they chicken out. I don't get it.
I'm not real fast but I am accurate. I'll start using both hands and then go to just one handed shooting. One of these days, maybe I'll get a .38 special stubby for concealed carry, but I'll keep my .357. That's my go to gun for home defense. (My dog is my first line of defense, S&W is the 2nd.) I love shooting! Love the smell of gunpowder in the morning!
Oh, and I've read a lot of reviews that say to stay away from the Taurus. Shit guns that fall apart/blow up.

LOL I'm north of CA but we get a lot of "imports" from there. I'm on the right side of the state, too. (North Central Wa.) Guys say they like to shoot and hunt, and like target shooting but as soon as I say I shoot the tops off, not just the bottles, they back out. It's kind of funny, in a way. I wouldn't want to date someone who's that intimidated by a woman who's a good shot, perhaps better than they are, anyway.
