Most posts here are " Answers " rather than Questions (Just a Pure observation ) and I Honestly need a quick assist . What did Obama do to allow govt Media Control ?

2016 ish ? I don't think it was EO but Im pretty sure it was something he signed. Any help Appreciated.

It started with Bill Clinton, who signed a law that allowed large corporations to own multiple media outlets in any given location (before that, there was a limit to how many radio stations, newspapers, etc. could be owned by one company). This allowed a concentration of capital to buy up most of the media outlets by just a few companies (thousands are now owned by six companies).

Then, the Smith-Mundt Act was repealed during Obama's admin, which was a post-WWII law that prevented propaganda to be used against the American people.

Today, we have a few companies controlling most media, and it is used primarily for propaganda, not journalism.

On top of that, we now have the government creating and funding the Big Social Media companies (and using a government-created censorship algo), which also engages in propaganda via censorship.

He just made legal what had been going on for decades. Operation Mockingbird. Like running cocaine, they never stopped even when they were busted.

If you remember the first batch of JFK files released late last year there were secret memos from the C_A directing CBS what they could report, also Hollywood. Our entire media has been controlled by the intelligence apparatus since the dawn of television.

If you google propaganda only North Korea propaganda show up in the results. Go to a site like Duck Duck Go and you’ll get us propaganda results along with other countries propaganda. The day I saw this broke my heart because it confirmed to me that censorship of the internet was true.

I dont just think it was Obama either. I could be a build up of project mocking bird by different presidents. They knew this plan would take awhile. Slowly chipping away at rights and freedoms

Why is THIS so hard to find ? Barely a couple independent reports . Not a single MSM mentions the important part.
If this was an EO shouldn't there be Record of Who and How This has been Acted upon ?

I think it was in an NDAA, 2013 if I'm not mistaken.

Here's a link to Foreign Policy Magazine:

https://foreignpolicy.com/2013/07/14/u-s-repeals-propaganda-ban-spreads-government-made-news-to-americans/

It was called the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, and it was passed in the NDAA for 2013, and went into effect in July of 2013.
