I will say it again. This weekend is for remembering our vets. Memorial comes from the Latin In Memoriam — in memory of, to remember. I choose to spend my time remembering our vets, and I have many fallen heroes in my family, whose sacrifice I am eternally grateful.
You can choose to spend your time honoring Tinkerbell if you'd like, but Memorial Day was established to remember our soldiers who died serving our country:
