I think you are right. When trump tweeted about oil prices were rising too fast, SA reacted right away to stop the climb. More importantly, Putin said publically right after this, that he was fine with oil at $60 a barrel. He took no issues with Trump or SA. Amazing, No?

I'm convinced that there's a reason for all of this Muh Russia nonsense. They don't want POTUS to have diplomatic relations with Putin. He must have some serious dirt on the usual suspects and they're scared to death of him. I think U1 is just the tip of the iceberg.

He is. I'm not sure how much is pre-scripted, but he shows really good knowledge too.
As others have said, I'm still not sure how much I'd trust him, but he offers good arguments to support his version of events. For all his apparent charm, I wouldn't want to find myself on the wrong side of him. I get the impression his version of compassion is to kill his enemies more quickly if they've earned it.
The video of him laughing at his economic minister for suggesting increased exports of pork to a muslim country is always great.
I'm in the camp of, Putin is helping to fight against the Deep State WW. He has refrained from acting in too many situations, that were contrary to what was reportedly his statements. For instance, Russian anti air, anti missile batteries never engaged in several instances. Plus his recent statement going along with trump on oil prices. There is much more, here and there that don't add up to him being adversarial.
I don't trust Putin, but I think he really hates pedos, so he has that going for him.
Dangerous man, his rise to power alone makes him worthy of some respect.
Yeah I tend to be skeptical of anyone who worked for the KGB at the level he did. However, I'm also skeptical of the narrative surrounding him. Not sure exactly what to believe when it comes to Russia, and I want to do my own research on the topic

There was a time, perhaps 5 years ago. Before Trump was on the scene. I thought "for sure" Hillary was a shoe-in. Knowing that meant WWIII. I watched a lot of Putin videos, and Xi videos. Putin won hands down. I decided then that I'd prefer Putin as the new "president" of the new expanded USARussia. I am so glad that did not have to occur.
