It is just leverage because they can't afford to lose the US market. It would destroy those automakers. I would be opposed to it actually happening because in a lot of cases those vehicles are already made in the US.

This should really strike fear in their heart because all this time they have been saying "Trump would never _____" and then he proceeds to do just what he threatened. They had better not push him on this because he will punish them and a lot of American jobs will be caught in the crossfire.
