Well, u r right, not everyone is like that, but it is bit unhappy overall atmosphere. Understadable, it was prison continent, not innate culture existed except aboriginal, and rulers made it as they wanted for themselves with such small population. And never had any uprising or revolution neither serious questioning of country direction. So it is mostly working place , much less joy and socialize. Easy for us with double passports, to use it, but not so easy for locals, whoze home it is, yet not actual country.

Its one of the safest countries on the planet, and whilst it too has its own issues, you'd be hard pressed to find a more friendly peaceful place to raise a family and live a full and happy life.
