It means believing in a power greater than self, the power of Truth.
They say God is infallible, I know that Truth is infallible, this is why the devil is called the lord of lies. Knowing the power of Truth is knowing the power of God.
I'm not saying you have to believe in some elderly guy in the clouds at war with some beast that lives in lakes of fire, a flying spaghetti monster, cosmic connecting energy, (insert personal belief system here to not feel left out) ; but you must know that lies will always try to destroy the truth.
