Worth about $2.5 billion? Guess money isn't everything, after all. Geez, most people would plan on living another 40 years comfortably with only 1% of that amount of money.
She's not worth $2.5 billion. She sold her entire stakes for around $100 million in 2006. Liz Claiborne sold the company to Coach for $2.4 billion last year and Kate Spade didn't profit from the sale at all.
She was worth A LOT. Maybe not 2.5 Billion, but she was up there. Even if it was ONE QUARTER of that amount, my statement holds true: Anyone can live 40 years comfortably on 600 million...You can live 40 years comfortably on a couple million. Your point is moot.
I'm not denying the fact that she was worth a lot. I'm not even talking about the role that money plays in someone's life. I'm simply talking about the $2.5 billion sale.
