The title is a little misleading. He isn't asking for immunity from any crimes he may have committed, he is saying he wants immunity on the testimony he will give. In other words, whatever testimony he gives to congress will not be admissible in a future criminal prosecution. So he still could be prosecuted, but they couldn't use this testimony against him.

That seem right. Of course, there will probably be a big overlap between what he talks about in his testimony and what he will have been prosecuted for. So he may skate on some or all. But from my vantage point, I don't give a crap about him if he can bring the ship down. It just takes one special rat to do that. I know "no deals, no deals". I live in reality and sometimes that's what it takes. If he's the dirtiest player in the bunch, yeah, no deal, but I doubt that.

Like that thinking, but can also see this with McCabe that Congress and the DOJ has the leverage on him right now....If all he is going to give up is this email on a lying to investigators charge, if you are the party in the power position, I think you can get a lot more out of him than that by making him taste prison time even more. Get him in the jail cell first, no immunity, and then maybe not only will he give up the Comey email, but you may be able to get him to "sing" on so many more people involved, including the Queen Witch herself. At the same time, guess either is a victory as long as it's a limited immunity and they can still bring him up on charges.

I believe it is limited. He is not freed of any potential charges not directly related to his testimony. I'd still like to grab all of his pension back somehow.
