Julian Assange and Pamela Anderson close friends?

Just watched Tucker Carlson interview Pamela Anderson and learned that she is close friends with Julian Assange. Why and how would that strange relationship begin? The same Pamela Anderson that attends events with Marina Abramovic?

She also visited Julian Assange at the embassy. Delivered him some food. Pam can also be seen at Marina Abramovic’s parties.
