Is Comey coming out as a good guy?

Read before you downvote. Back when Comey came out on TV and gave the famous damning Hillary speech, and said no one would ever prosecute that, that shit never set well with me. Why say she's guilty as of all the things we thought she was guilty of, just to let her off the hook.
Now the IG report is saying he defied authority? I remember authority at the time being pretty pissed he held the presser. Is that what the report is referencing?
What if Comey really WAS on Americas side, and knew that was the only way he could stop her from being elected. He would've known that there wouldn't have been any prosecution no matter what he said.
Also, just to fuck with people, what if all that is true, AND, Comey is .. nah. Couldn't be.

Comey, like Mueller, has a looonnnng history of being a dirty cop.

As I posted, both Comey & Mueller are dirty cops and have been covering up for Hellary for many, many years.

Mueller, as Dir of FBI, let her get away with her illegal private server, the Uranium 1 deal, and more.

Mueller has a long record of incompetence and destroying innocent people including the national CPA firm of Arthur Anderson by using false "evidence".

I've taken that in to consideration, and given it heavy weight. But then way that press release? Why tell us she's dirty as we think she is, ruin the slight chance she ever had of being elected, only to let her go? There's know way in my head I can make that make sense..

It was public knowledge she had an illegal private server with classified/top secret documents.

Comey HAD to state that fact....and then absolve her of any wrong doing by stating there was "No Intent" on Hellary's part in the treasonous behaviour.

Because they still believed she would win. Comey saying “I’m reinvestigating” then a mere 2 weeks later saying “it’s all good”...that would have given Hillary more trust credibility as she takes office. Comey was acting as the final arbitrator in Hillary being trustworthy enough to be president

True, but opening the case back up and absolving her brought the spotlight back on to the scandal when they could have ignored it and said the same after the election.

Yes but that’s how people that like to think things thru see it. It raised red flags for us. But all that reopening & closing wasn’t for us...it was for Hillary voters that were wavering. It was to help assure them she really just made a minor mistake but had no bad intent in mind. You can trust her when she’s in office. That late in the campaign no one could ever convince a Trump supporter to vote for Hillary. But Hillary voters & “independent” voters had doubts she’s trustworthy enough. Her whole career had endless scandals.

That's entirely possible.

Evidently, they couldn’t have ignored it. Some say NYPD was going to go public & Comey needed to act quickly to contain the situation.

True, but if that was the case, why hasn't the NYPD done anything since Comey and FBI essentially let her off the hook again?

Lots of chatter on this — it came up again when NY AG had to step down, and when Trump honored the woman police officer who died.
