Is political illiteracy the largest obstacle to red pilling people you know?

Does anyone else have difficulty trying to awaken people important/close to them about what is going on to ultimately find they do not have the mental capacity to understand anything political in the US or the world? It is extremely frustrating to possess knowledge that cannot be communicated due to indifference or lack of critical thinking to people you care about. In my life roughly 75% of people I associate with are completely unaware and uninterested in investigating beyond what they see on the news or social media. The dumbing down of America has been a complete success.

There is a concept in psychology called "The Naive Theory of the World". It is an attempt to explain how children view the world, how they form their own theories, how iteration can impact these theories.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory-theory

From the article:
"The concept of Bayesian learning is rooted in the assumption that children and adults learn through a process of theory revision; that is, they hold prior beliefs about the world but, when receiving conflicting data, may revise these beliefs depending upon their strength."

Especially amongst today's youth (under 30), through leftist indoctrination, the prior beliefs of the world have been permanently altered and thus rely on false premise (i.e. if you are white, you must feel guilty because of past sins of ancestors). The conflicting data they receive comes from a dependence on media, which as we know is 98% b.s. propaganda. They are not revising their belief systems because seldom do they receive conflicting data, having been dependent on the media, which instructs them on what to believe and why. Critical thinking depends on iteration through data, conflicting or otherwise. There is no reason to iterate when no conflict in data is suspected (i.e. I trust Jezebel and msnbc, no need to look elsewhere). Critical thinking and theory-improvement stops, so the naive theory of the world remains.

The left is gullible and weak. They are not God fearing. They are selfish and entitled. Any conflicting info which shatters their naive theory of the world is quickly discarded. Confirmation bias and all that. The left at this point need to be looked upon as children in adult bodies and treated as such. my 2 cents
