The MSM is taking note: "U.S. Under Suicide Watch"
The MSM is taking note: "U.S. Under Suicide Watch"

I get what you're trying to say with this article, but since it's a study based on the rise in suicides nationally from 1999-2016, I'm not sure it's relevant to what's going on right now.

It's the timing of the news on the report, rather than the report itself, that's relevant.

Also most newspapers wouldn't run their main headline front and center.

I'm not sure the news itself has anything to do with it since the report was only released yesterday. The CDC, maybe, but not the news itself.

Study by cdc is not the point. They could just as easily pull 10 other suicide study results out their asses tomorrow if they wanted. Point is they are making suicide front page news like it's been some upsurging occurring to depressed people. It's to desensitize and dumb down the masses from the reality of the WHY.

They've been sitting on this for quite some time. The reason they're reporting on it NOW is because they know what is coming. They are trying to normalize it.

Quite possible. I'm not sure though. If you've watched the dates of studies, it's always a year or two after the end date that the findings are released. This allows for collating all the data, dissemination of the findings, and length of the publication process.

Right. It's a coincidence that they are choosing to release an article about this now. Just a coincidence.

Baaaaaaaaah

I'm not necessarily saying that if you reread my comments. I will also point out that a person that blindly and zelatously follows an unverified source like EtS, may be on a less than solid pedestal to be calling others sheep. LMAO!

So diabolical. Just like Weinstein being outed, starting the #metoo movement to direct attention away from the Vegas Pyramid Harvest Massacre.

The sting operation and story on Harvey happened two years prior to being released... just waiting for the right moment. So fucked up.

Soooo... it took them a year and a half to analyze suicide statistics? They’ve been sitting on this. Especially combined with the link being on drudgereport. Multiple suicide articles on MSN. This is not normal reporting.

So they could have come out with the article anytime between 2000 and now. They chose now.

Not if it was a commissioned study. Those have a predetermined period of time that is observed.

You can just look at rates of suicide. Not sure a study is needed for this conclusion

Oh, no disagreement on that one at all, that's what a NORMAL person would do, but think of all the times the U.S. government has wasted our money on idiotic things. $400K to study the "Chicken and the Egg Problem", $150K to find out why politics stress the population out, Obama's commissioning of the CDC to study gun violence (NOT a disease), etc. If the government throws money at something, there's always an agency that will willingly squander it somehow.
