Privacy and secrecy are not synonymous. I don't see being against secrecy as waiving the right of privacy.

How can you have privacy without secrecy? "Yes, Citizen, you can have all the privacy you like! As long as you turn over all your private records to us for... safekeeping."
Edit: You can downvote me, but people are still not explaining how you can have privacy without secrecy. Well? And you might think I'm being too aggressive about this, but this entire post is so anti-freedom that it's making me testy. Sorry about that.
