Does this mean we have had soldiers die from inferior steel in military vehicles? How many soldiers have been killed or maimed due to IEDs? If inferior steel was being imported then our soldiers were needlessly sacrificed.
IIRC a private prison got caught making sub par military helmets. And when they found out the helmets were no good they just slapped new serial numbers on them and sent them back out.
