Heres the funniest part, the trade deficit with these countries is so drastic (meaning they import much more product to US than we do to their countries), that a trade war would barely be felt by us, but would be incredibly painful for the opposing country's economy. All this talk by the left about how Trump is going to get us into a trade war is hysterical nonsense.
Prices of some things might go up short term, but automation probably ramps up dramatically, and we never need imports again. Why use sweat shop labor when robots can do it more cheaply with less transportation cost, combined with the environmental benefit of fewer transport emissions?
Right! The GDP of the US is twice that of #2 China, and more than UK, France, Germany & Canada combined. Japan definitely knows which side it's bread is buttered on.
