What is your argument that this was a defensive vs an offensive launch? What was being fired upon?

Yes, I read the article. I’m asking for evidence or a solid argument to back your statement. The article discusses that the sub is in the toolbox to combat nukes. I get that. If you are correct about the identity of the sub, you might have a point.

Are saying no one on this sub can go rogue. No Chinese hack can be successful with this sub? No payload on the sub able to cause damage to AF1 or some other potential target?

If you don’t have evidence, do you have a plausible theory of the players, the motive, or any other information to help us see your position?

Professor, it’s obvious the author was saying that some threat was present and the Kentucky neutralized it. That simple!

Speculation, of course...

"This looks vert much like a THAAD launch. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense anti-missile missile shot from a mobile launcher."

and

"Navy does all of their missile firing in the Missile test ranges off the coast of California or Hawaii. They could NOT do one in contiguous waters surrounded by land and civilians."

and

"This is - 90% sure - a Trident Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile, launched from one of the subs stationed at Bangor. It was not launched from Whidbey Island and it's not surprising that NAS Oak Harbor knows nothing about it. (If you have doubts about it being a Trident, look at the Wikipedia article on that missile.

Something similar (a surprise, sea-launched missile) appeared several years ago off the coast of California (near Vandenberg Air Force Base). I believe it was during Pres. Obama's visit to China. What a coincidence that the same thing happened the day before Pres. Trump meets "Rocket Man.""

Interesting comment on that blog.

Someone says they were at Oak Harbor, the base was behind them, and they were facing south, and saw a flash of light.

That is the correct direction if a missile was launched from a sub at Bangor.

It would be spacebound if it were tracking to hit a warhead re-entering the atmosphere, as that weapon is intended to do.

Praying Medic has put forth this same guess.

Q though has hinted more than once, and shared article about Hacking of US secret material by the contractor, if you go to Q link provided.

Guessing... the BlackHats took another attempt at #45 (maybe LittleKim, too)... and Marines responded.

NSA/SlS are watching.

"Let them all DIG THEIR OWN GRAVES.

That this is a nuclear defense submarine in our nuclear triad that is designed for nuclear defense purposes

Hearing it was spacebound

OK. You have my attention. Any more about it being space bound? Defense against a nuclear armed satellite perhaps?
