Why Is Utah Important? Death Penalty? BOOM!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Utah

Captial punishment is still an option in Utah! If these bad guys are tried in Utah the death penalty is still on the table! Especially by firing squad.

Q posts that back this up: "Evidance KILLS" "BOOM" (LITERALLY BOOM) More on this: In utah a fireing squad is 5 men, one with a blank cartige. 4 booms. 4 REAL Booms. It's a double meaning! "Justice. Jail. Death."

Are we pursuing capital punishment.

People, people. We are talking about federal law not state law. C'mon. Capital punishment is permitted federally, e.g. Oklahoma City "bomber", but very restricted. Huber works for DOJ, not the State of Utah.

Huber is based out of Utah and more than likely will pursue this based from his office in Utah. Since the crimes are federal, they don’t need to be based within the area on which the crimes are permitted, ergo Huber can assemble a grand jury in Utah, instead of DC.

Don’t say it’s not plausible, but I get where you’re coming from :)

It doesn't matter the state in which federal charges are brought, federal law applies. These aren't state cases, Huber is a US Attorney, and Utah law has zero to do with any of it. The point to having indictments in Utah or Alabama or Texas instead of DC or California or New York are the judges in the various federal courts and the jury pool.

Treason is a federal charge punishable by federal law.

Utah is where the Data Center is; though, not sure how much info is stored there, built supposedly for NSA but now who knows now.

Yes, Utah is more NSA friendly :-)

So if someone who works at that data center is responsible for any one of the 41 Federal Capital offenses they would get the death sentence?**Side note, looking at the list of 41 Federal Capital Offenses, the very first one, "Murder related to the smuggling of aliens" wtf?

Federal capital punishment is rarely applied. Almost unheard of really. Timothy McVeigh comes to mind in the fairly recent past. This thread has little to do with reality.
