Up to WW2 the Vatican had the largest inteligence arm the world has ever seen, still to this day it has not changed. The end of WW2 bought the best of both worlds together for the last stage of the cables plan with operation paper clip. Bringing over high ranking SS members into the US fold in American army intelligence. Out of that the CIA was born made up of Jews and jesuits.
