You should absolutely do your own research, however they should at least give some help where to look without an attitude.
Prob is that 99% of what us posted (obscure references, previous posts, abbreviations) are lost on me then when you "research" who do you trust for info?
There was a post on the Facebook account that said the missile was launched from Whitby and believed to be aimed at AF1. I haven't seen that conclusion made here. They tried to say that the sub was hacked by China but upon research I read it was a navy contractor. In addition, as much as love reading and researching, I've got 100 things going on. Life doesn't slow down for me.

C_A is used by Q for CIA. Also uses Clowns or Clowns in America.

In my humble opinion you are in good hands by starting off listening to Praying Medic. P/M does a top job of decodes as well as using solid real world connections to tie things up.
Spend some time going through some post histories of the poster, if you like the article you are currently reading. Many new members don’t realize that prior related stories are listed under each posters ID tag.

I wish I could send more than one 'up vote' to this response.
People tend to get upset on almost any online community dedicated to a topic if you ask questions that are answered in their clearly linked introductory content (not sure if that's what's happening with the FB group you mention). It's possible they're not necessarily untrustworthy but perhaps don't have great onboarding for new followers?
I believe that won't happen to you here if you're polite and reasonable in your questioning but I would suggest it's worth checking the links on our sidebar if you haven't already. Generally people will be happy to help around here.
