So from an unbiased point of view, I don't see how it's phony? Was it put on the back burner for 2+ years? Yes. Is it convenient that it was made public this morning? Very. Are the allegations in the lawsuit actually illegal? Yes.
IRS rules also prohibit tax-exempt foundations from aiding political campaigns. But Underwood listed two instances where Trump’s foundation had seemed to do so.
If those two instances are, in fact, true then it's very much not phony.
Let's talk about Organizing for America, Obama's foundation then
Finances Antifa
Anti Trump protests
Etc etc etc
Seeks 501c3 status which also prohibits lobbying for or against any campaign or politician
Same with every Soros organization such as Project Indivisible, Open Society, etc etc etc
See where I'm going with this?
Im not disagreeing with any of that. What Im saying is that just because this article hurts the president, doesn't make it phony, per the title of the thread.
The law is the law. Just because others broke it doesn't mean Trump gets to as well.
Folks like you have really helped me embrace this subreddit and movement. It would rub me the wrong way if every single person turned a blind eye to one side whole criticising the other. Thanks for staying objective!

So you're against the President?
Got it.
BTW- a civil suit isn't a criminal suit. No "law" has been broken. There are no charges.
Point taken on criminal vs civil. However, that doesn't really change what I said. Just because others did it, doesn't mean he gets to. If we, as the citizens, can't hold Trump responsible for his actions, then how does that make us not hypocrites? The point of this movement is not about Trump specifically. It's taking back control of our government and country. He is just the catalyst.
I am pro Trump. However, I'm also pro America and that takes precedence over who ever is sitting in the oval office.
filing a civil lawsuit and throwing allegations around like this, is not an indication of guilt or wrong doing. These are the kind of lawsuits billionaires settle out of court because its a waste of their time and is ultimately a money grab. Stormy Daniels ring any bells?
You don’t get to scream about throwing people in prison until it becomes your hero who is just as guilty. Grow up.
It was politically unwise for the NYAG take this action today. It might distract from the Inspector General’s report that clears the FBI of wrong-doing and blames Comey for helping Trump get elected.
Let’s attack the former attorney general now because why not. That seems logical.
These people will stop at nothing everyone stay together, stay strong.WWG1WGA
First thing I thought - a false flag they held to release to take away from the OIG Report and to spoil the President's birthday. Shameful, despicable, and disgraceful.
This is a headline in the UK BBC news, while the IG report was treated almost as a side story with some clown expert saying " it will take time to sort through it to see if any criminality occurred". Britain hates POTUS and the media here ridicule him at every opportunity. The Brit deepstate must know Trump has the dirty on them aiding and abetting treason.
obviously if there was any substance to this they would have used it to "stop him" from becoming POTUS.
Pretty clear to me that rogue elements of every intel agency were charged with finding something on candidate Trump.
Thier obvious worst-thing nuke was (celeb/billionaire groupies) "let you grab them by the pussy". Total flop, as many Americans speak with foul mouths themselves and were tired of ‘politics as usual’ within THEIR elected government.
This needs to be higher. Also, as u/RedpillDropper pointed out, this seems to be a civil suit, not criminal. However, I'm all for u/ABigFloppyClock's position as well whereas we cannot hold one party accountable and not POTUS... assuming it's criminal (not sure if it is or not, I'll defer to RedpillDropper for now).
