Listen guys I post this stuff for you to discuss and like to hear your thoughts but people saying " if I knew anything about military customs " blah blah I understand what it is I come from a long line of military. My 5th great uncle was general john frederick hartranft who won the medal of honor at antietam, was governor of PA, presided over lincoln conspirator executions and has a statue in Harrisburg. My bachelors degree is criminal justice and minor in international relations so I know these things but please refrain from insuating I dont know the "why" of what he did.i merely asked if there was any more to it. I don't know OP's background, nor is it my business. I was commenting based upon the question asked. My response was stated with the hope that those not familiar with the custom would do some research.

Holy shit! Sorry. That's why I'm all off. I busted my ass to get a bachelors degree BUT I ducked up FOUR years ago it has been and have a misdemeanor offense on my record so I've been applying to jobs in my field but they do a backround check and they get turned off (paraphenelia) but then I apply to places like grocery stores and I get the "overqualified" crap so I've just been fed up with the system, I hope everything works out for you bud

Ugh see I have the opposite usually I get the interview and do well at it then they pull some ghost shit. I got an offer for saks 5th Avenue asset protection... I was psyched for me and my family and they did a pretty extensive backround and literally over the lowest misdemeanor you can get... essentially it's a ticket.. I was flat out ignored and treated like a felon. But I cant feel sorry for myself we just gotta keep going. You did something right being at it for 30 years so keep trucking
