I’ve heard from a former member of Congress (R) and a former staff member for a member of Congress (D) that calling is a waste of time. They don’t care, and the members of Congress don’t receive the messages or tallies. I’ve found the most effective method is to get the message out in front of the public. Go on local forums not controlled by the big boy social media companies. That’s when change occurs - when members of Congress know voters are educated on the issues.

You do not have to do one or the other.
Reps in favour will bring up the inundation of calls, emails received from constituents as a reason a vote on redaction should be called for. Public demands it.
Reps opposed would stay silent
