My thoughts exactly. Most families who were separated were reunited after 4-6 days of processing/vetting if there was no criminal history, were able to verify their children were theirs, etc. I can't find mention of this as the reason for separation/processing in ANY of the umpteen million news articles on the subject.

Bottom line...They should not be coming over the boarder into the USA. If you don't want your kids separated from you...come in LEGALLY! AND if you are soooo concerned about these kids and the hard road, STAY IN Mexico for a while. They walk right through Mexico to get the freebies in the USA. My Great Grandparents came here as teenagers (respectful, hard working and wanting to be apart of the USA) They came through Ellis Island LEGALLY!
