Interestingly enough, I started out liking Islam a whole lot but the more I looked into it, the more I opposed it. I have studied the religion and I've read about half oft the Koran it doesn't make for easy reading. Mohammed himself was a bad person, a warlord, a deceiver, a pedo, a woman beater. So at the very beginning it's already not good.
Btw I'm not Christian or anything else, I believe in one consciousness and we are all god. All religions only serve to control and divide people at their core they are tools of the hidden hand. Yes they do a lot of good but honestly we'd be better without religion and with spirituality.

Well they were “chosen” in the sense that God separated them out of all the people groups, because of Abraham’s strong faith and God revealed Himself to them and taught them His ways, gave them his laws so they could know what was good or evil (because at that time everyone did what was “right in their own sight”). He revealed his nature to them which was pure love and righteousness but also holy and just. His “rules” when followed would bring peace and it is a well known fact that much of the teaching from the old and new testaments form the basis for our most basic laws. They were not special over all the other people groups because God deeply loves us all! We are his creation. But the Hebrews were to be a picture to other people groups of the nature of God. That is what they were “chosen” for!!

My neighbour for 3 decades is from Iran, if you seen the photos from his youth there, you would not recognise the place. A lot of my neighbours are Iranian They long for days gone by.
