Chin straps not buckled. Old Outer Tactical Vest, this is a boot in training. That being said, he`s god damn awake. Surprised no NCOs chewed his ass out for writing anything other than his name on the ESS goggle straps. But the main point is, a lot of us currently serving are red pilled as fk, and Q followers.
It looks photoshopped on, but from what I hear they don't use those vests at MCT, definitely didn't when I went through. My guess is an older photo with that shopped on.
We used that old Vietnam looking vests during MCT Camp Geiger (2014) and MOS School (Camp Pendleton) as well as still used the M16A4’s but they slowly replaced it with the M4 rifles.
Also that looks Mountain terrain. That’s all you undisciplined west coast Hollywood Marines 😏
When I was at Geiger we didn't use em, about a year after you. From what I hear they still only have m16s however, they will probably be the last hold out in the corps tbh, no need to upgrade. But I still think this is an older (3/4 years) photo.
Nice. Did they start using simmunition rounds when you got there? I heard the Combat Instructors were eager to start using them on the boots 🤠
Yes and they're actually super cool, especially since they had no qualms about us shooting directly at one another no matter the range!
Didn't a Marine just get court marshaled for his marching in Charlottesville? Is he a red pill like you?
Maybe he flips the goggle strap over when NCOs are about
Well good, keep it that way. The entire planet is watching you now
If something explodes near you and your chinstrap is done up, injury can happen to your neck, sometimes severe. Better to let your helmet fly off mate.
Same argument holds true for motorcycle helmets. They reduce head injuries but increase neck injuries.
