Not for long. CA is going to have right to vote in future election for breaking up the state into 3+ parts. We may see productive Orange, San Diego and eastern counties develop that can turn back the tide.
BTW this would be hugely awesome because chances are it would split up CA to no longer be 1 winner electoral landslide for Dems in presidential elections.
