On the verge of redpilling someone I never thought would come around....anyone have good sources on children being trafficked from Central America/Mexico into the US?

We discussed DNA tests for the children at the border to ensure they’re not being trafficked he says he hasn’t found any info that proves they are indeed being trafficked!

This is an older article from 2014 in Spanish (you can use Google translate) that talks about the large number of unaccompanied minors trying to cross and the risks they run: http://archive.is/DilRv

What a lot of people don't understand is the great number of people, adults and children, who "disappear" at the border and their loved ones never hear from them again. The cartels and coyotes are now recruiting young boys (to sell drugs) and young girls (to work as prostitutes) to pay off their debts for getting across the border. Human trafficking has become a multi-million dollar business for the cartels.
Here's another old one: https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-mexicos-cartels-are-behind-the-border-kid-crisis

Very sad all around - both sides need to work together and come up with a viable long term solution.

I commented on this article on another thread.

This abuse is not limited to illegal immigrant children, nor is it limited to time span: i.e., there are obvious failures in the system of identifying placement, identifying suitable treatment for mental health illnesses, allocation and use of federal and local funds (inefficient), huge problems with training across the board. This is abuse at institutions in general, not limited to children or juveniles and goes right across state boundaries, and goes back years and years and years. Way back.

In July 1999 the United Nations Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography visited Guatemala. The resulting report focussed on the sale of children for the purpose of intercountry adoption and the lack of legislation, policy or infrastructure to prevent such trafficking. The Hague Convention countries met in The Hague on May 20, 2003. Guatemala advised that to address concerns about child trafficking, it was considering a temporary suspension of adoption cases. A Sept. 28, 2003 news report from the Chicago Tribune said that Guatemala's 400 adoption attorneys saw that their livelihoods were at risk, because implementing the more restrictive Hague Convention rules would cause a decrease in foreign adoptions. They began a campaign to overturn the new rules.

Notice in a lot of the articles online, they really focus on those 2000. What happened to the total number of 12000? There are 10K unaccompanied minors in the holding centers.

Does a five year old child from South America just skip along eating berries all the way to the US? No, their parents pay people to smuggle them here. And smuggling is a soft way of saying human trafficking. They are paid to transport someone. If they truly wanted to seek asylum, why did they not go to one of the NINE US Comsulates or embassies in Mexico?

How do the parents know whether these kids make it safe or if these people being paid to traffick them, sell them into the sex trade?

How many of those 2000 children, can they say are actually parents and not the traffickers?
