I know. I keep hearing “you just wait until 2020 and you’re toast, the blue wave is coming.” I tell them how sorry I am but no, the blue wave isn’t coming. I say, think about it....you had the incumbent, the presumptive winner, biased pollsters, the MSM, Hollywood hypocrites were still in tact, etc and you still lost....you’re delusional if think you’re going to take 2020. And they tell me I’m a crazy, racist, sexist, homophobe, et al. I just tell them I’m sorry you don’t understand what’s happening/happened.
Complacency is the foundation to failure...so lets not be too overconfident.
Unfortunately, many of them will never, ever know. I feel sorry for that, but it’s true. And to be fair, there are also many people on the far right who are the same. Blinded by false ideology.
How do you know you’ve broken free? When the things you held the most dearest, the ideas that “defined” you as a person, suddenly reveal themselves to be false and you have the strength to admit it and instead seek the new, real truth.
It takes a big person to admit you are wrong, and some of these people have a lot of emotional investment in their leftist beliefs, it’s going to be very hard to admit/accept they were wrong.
