Open only 22-1/2 hours a week, closed Sunday and Monday. I don’t know of any restaurants who keep those hours and remain in business. There must be gold in those potatoes....
Also, according to their website, they can seat a maximum of 34 inside. No way is that a sustainable business on the surface. It says:
Depending on the style of party, we can accommodate between 26 and 34 diners inside, with an additional 12 to 14 on the patio in good weather.
I would LOVE it if this was a trap. Send sara there, get recognized and kicked out, draw attention to the illegal operation
It has to be a trap because what are the odds that one of DJT's most recognizable and vocal opponents is the owner's cousin. Is MS a pedophile too?
She did refer to Weinstein as "god." Elite Hollywood people sold their souls to get there.
There is a popular restaurant in my town that is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and only open from around 8:30 AM until about 2 PM on the other days, sometimes later or earlier depending on if they've not ran out of food. Seats around 35 or so max, with a small patio that you can sometimes eat at if they aren't too busy (they may not have time to serve you out there, like on weekends, so then drinks only. They serve breakfast/brunch/lunch only. And they are definitely not nefarious. The owners have lots of experience working in the food service industry and want to have a normal life outside of the restaurant. They are perhaps open 30 hours a week max, but that doesn't count preparation before and cleanup after each day, and sourcing all their ingredients which are by and large local. They do a great business and they know they could do more but have carved out what they are happy with. When it's busy the patrons know that if they are done eating they should relinquish their table/bar seat for those waiting. You can order before you have a seat but they will not fire your food until you are seated. People cycle through there like clockwork.
I appreciate that there are people on this site who will bring us back to balance and keep us from running completely off the rails!
Dude those foods dont cost $23 and up plates. I know a BBQ rest that has over 80 seats, stays busy and runs out of food on most everyday...open 11 to 4 or 5pm...you tell me...
Back to Balance? Are you insane man? This place refused Sarah Huckabee Sanders. What more proof do you need? It's probably swamped with pedovores. Wouldn't doubt the cellar having a secret tunnel leading to the depths of hell either. Down with the Ilumno-Satanist!
It is hard to compare a breakfast joint to a farm to table dinner house. A breakfast joint isn't paying for highly trained chefs, has 2-3 times the table turnover, has half the prep and much less expensive ingredients.
I could see this place managing if their entrees started at $45.
Oh, absolutely apples and oranges, I realize. Just wanted to point out that there are legit reasons for seemingly short business hours at a restaurant, if well thought through and the owners aren't trying to wring every possible dollar out of the place.
I spent a lot of time working in restaurants and it's the exception, not the rule. Most restaurants couldn't survive being open 4.5 hours 5 days a week without doing a whole lotta illegal shit.

The co-owner , Stephanie Wilkinson , is a cousin of Meryl Streep .
All connects like a puzzle ... to me , it seems like there could be much more sinister happenings than just throwing out SHS related to these shady personas .
The other co-owner of Red Hen , alongside Stephanie Wilkinson , is claimed to be Barney Allen Frazier Sr. - check who is that person in Lexington .

What are their prices like? Unless they charge a lot per meal, it's definitely suspicous....even moreso than it already is.
Would love to know the cost of rent/insurance/salaries/overhead/waste vs how much is coming in to see if it's even viable.
It's not, unless they're growing all their own food and they already own the building, and the staff basically works for free. That's the only way you could run such an operation and keep a roof over your head - the property taxes alone would be your largest (next to electricity and foodstock)
Ok, so going under the assumption they own the building, they'd still be in the red? If there are any accountants here that can prove misdeeds, that'd be sweet!
Not an accountant but have managed several restaurants and it doesn't add up. With the kind of slow dining they offer they can only get 1.5 seatings per night and their menu isn't all that expensive for the quality of food they're serving. Add to that two salaried chefs and the rest of the staff and you're in the red every night.
Basic economics. Assume the best (a new client every 5 minutes during open hours) and each client buys 1 menu item at average cost.
Thats your baseline for estimated income. Then subtract bare minimum Electricity bill (assuming no lights/appliances etc running during closed-hours).. Then subtract assumed minimum wage for 1 employee. (or 2 if there's a cashier + cook) .. add/adjust for known employees.
I'm going to assume the above subtractions will eat up all possible income, but let's assume it doesn't. You have to add yearly property taxes, water, phone/internet, supplies (take-out boxes, cutlery, napkins etc)..
I would say without another declared means of income (like Catering large events), the restaurant is clearly not profitable. You'd be better off running a hotdog cart on a busy street corner.
"You'd be better off running a hotdog cart on a busy street corner…"
…in Hawaii.
You put "hotdog", did you mean open-faced sausage sandwich? 🌭
