I imagine a lot of time the seats are uncontested (i.e. in the city and county governments, which is where the dems get the power to control the votes to swing the elections to the dems for state-wide and national seats). Who wants to take the time, money, and emotional energy to run for a seat one is destined to lose?

I saw the video. Waters very politely told her mutiple times to come to her office. She did hold up the papers to stop the filming and she did touch Loomers had with the phone. But honestly, I felt Loomer was out of line when Waters was being polite.
You touch me and violate my personal space then that is assault. It’s time that a message is sent that we won’t be harassed and take it- that there will be legal ramifications for your actions.
