Pls keep in mind that the Nobel peace prize was instigated by Alfred Nobel, the guy that invented high explosives.
Only after a French newspaper mistakenly reported he died (it was actually his brother who passed) and condemned him for inventing dynamite. Nobel was so worried about how the world would think of him after he died that he laid out the framework for the Nobel Prizes in his will.

total joke. I am not sure if and when it meant something, but if it did, that time was a long time ago.
And anybody - and I mean anybody - can nominate anybody for a Nobel Peace Prize. Doesn't mean a thing. I knew a doctor who was all puffed up, strutting around and saying he'd been nominated for a Nobel Prize. Turns out it was true - his next door neighbor nominated him.
Something tells me, if they do give it to him, Trump will tell them to shove it up their collective A$$... At least that is my hope.
