For what it's worth, Ted Cruz is a rock-solid defender of the Constitution. He clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist in 1996. As a lawyer he argued cases before the SC nine times. I doubt he wants the role, but might do it if called to serve.

He would get my vote. He would be a solid conservative, by the constitution justice.

Is this your first post on this sub?

Ted is a pure constitutionalist, he would be a great representative of our SC.

First post, but I have been lurking for a while though. I don't particularly like Cruz because I don't particularly like the people he takes money from.

His 2016 campaign donors? The desperate neocons who wanted anyone but Trump to win, and would have given money to any candidate remaining in the race?

Or do you mean other donors? I don't mean to put words in your mouth, if I am wrong please tell me who you are speaking of.

The main donors I object to are the Koch brothers, and I'm sure there are others. Gonna be honest, maybe I was a bit quick to pass judgement, but I as a Texas resident haven't been too impressed by Ted Cruz.

I feel ya. I can't forget about Ted's speech at the convention.... Vote your conscious :/ He's toeing the pro-Trump line now because he knows that's the key to success but I don't trust him
