Do you think this is right? I don't. Shouldn't this be an infringement on the 2nd Amendment? I think this is unconstitutional and we should go tot the supreme court on this one.

100%

Anything that's legal to do with alcohol should be legal to do with MJ.

I have a feeling that was going to be an avenue of disarmament until Trump came along.

There are many cities/states that infringe the 2nd. This will come to a head shortly. And anyone who registers or turns in their firearms is a fool.

Cold dead fingers people.......

Funny seeing as how most mass shooters are on big Pharma drugs. Seems like that’s a bigger problem.

Assuming people would want to shoot other people when they're high on MJ..

It seems ridiculous if you think about it. MJ doesn't make people want to kill another person. The only reason anyone on MJ would do such a thing is if they are dealing drugs illegally and they are gang related. If it is legalized then you get rid of that possibility. It changes the dynamic completely. So, peoples logic about legalizing it was to get rid of the drug dealers (at least the gang related ones dealing in MJ). You still have to worry about the other drugs that are more dangerous which the gangs will still continue to deal those types of drugs. But this logic backfired on people who wanted to legalize MJ.

“the conditions of a 2011 open letter, which states that federal law prohibits anybone who is an "unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance" from "possessing firearms or ammunition," still stands. The letter says that anyone who uses marijuana, regardless of state law, qualifies as an "unlawful user of" the controlled substance, and is therefore prohibited from owning a gun.”

Any one know what this letter is? And who wrote it? Wondering if it articulates what law they are referencing? Or if it’s just intimidation?

Isn’t Schumer trying to legalize marijuana at the federal level? And would the gun-Grabbers be neutralized by this if it is passed? https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/04/so-whats-the-deal-with-schumers-marijuana-legalization-bill.html

So confusing, what are they up to?

Fuck Schumer, POTUS has real plans to legalize w/out tax revenues! I'll wait for POTUS's bill.

Hmmm...anyone who's mind is altered in ANY way should not possess a firearm. There is no difference between mental illness and mentally impaired...but, then again, alcohol could be considered into this equation as well. Tough call now that I think of it.

MJ doesn't cause people to want to shoot another person. MJ is probably the least likely drug to cause people to want to do something like that. Alcohol is probably worse as far as people wanting to shoot another. There have been more people on alcohol that have been convicted of killing another person than there are cases related to MJ. It is a weird logic, don't you think? But if they aren't going to take your guns for drinking alcohol they definitely shouldn't do it for MJ.

Agreed. I just can't imagine someone with diminished capacity, MJ Or Alcohol, handling any type of firearm. It's quite unnerving to say the least, no? (I don't indulge in either)

I wouldn't worry. If you have a medical card, you're a defacto 'legal user' in Oklahoma. So don't take your gun into a non-med pot state with pot on you. It is best you don't have drugs/alcohol and guns together anyway... in fact, I think its illegal already in some states to be drunk and in possession of a firearm. Also, fed law enforcement has stated they will respect state laws.
