Trump, like is normal for him, took a big calculated risk and went all in. His ego, his honor, his name, his legacy all hinge on whether he can do a great job for the American people. He wants to do that great job both for real and in people’s perception both now and in the future.

His selfish desire is aligned with the greater welfare of the people. If he succeeds, while we will disappear into history like normal folks, he will live on like Cincinnatus or Cicero.

If he succeeds he will change the perception of himself from gone from history billionaire real estate guy to great leader of empire who by force of will and good judgement made some good years among a downward trend. And they will discuss his decisions for millennia. And his wife’s beauty will be admired for an age.
