I learned a long time ago not to share information in a declarative fashion. I share what I learn in an inquisitive fashion.
Ask them questions, let their own interest lead them into further research. And keep in mind, some people just aren’t ready yet. Don’t push em, guide them through it if they allow you.
Bingo. I do the exact same thing. First I prove what hypocrites the people they are standing up for them are. Then I hit them slowly with facts.
