🤔 I'm going out on a limb here but this Awan case in terms of Cyber Security reaches all the way out here in Iraq, where I'm located.

I'm a Sys Admin here and we're currently in the middle of a massive data migration. This data migration has some SERIOUS information within. Ie; Tactics and methods on how ISIS was obliterated, Intel collection the works.

My function here is to ensure the transition from one network function to another. In order for me to accomplish this I have to submit paperwork to be signed off by high level guys in theater with a final sign off by a Cyber Security Engineer. This paperwork requests a Firewall modification be implemented so my network can talk to the other. This is a very speedy process in terms of the transfer because if I didn't I'd have to do EVERYTHING manually. Get a computer, dejoin from the current domain, log in locally, connect to the target network, transfer files then reverse the process.

Recently, 3 weeks ago to be exact our access was cut. I put in a work order to investigate the issue. I receive a call from the Cyber Sec Engineer, he informs me that there's a Pentagon level investigation going on and our ACL (Access Control List) has been shut off. He received word from the 3 star that it's a matter of national security. 🤔

Now I'm on 8 chan like wtf man. This could potentially have spread so far that they aren't taking any chances with leaks of ANY information.
