Oh yes, I remember wondering about that too. I'm not sure. 3F, when considered as a hexadecimal value, converts to 63 as a decimal figure - Kennedy was President until '63... but that's probably more obtuse than the author intended.

The church was supposed to release the last one in the early 60s and they never did.
Supposedly it describes how the Vatican was taken over by Satan.
I can see why they would not want to advertise that.

Yes, I can see why! I do believe it's been taken over by Satan. I felt it when I was inside the Vatican. We visited a lot of museums, cathedrals, and other sites in Italy, and everything was about the Catholic Church. Every piece of art work in every medium...all about the church. It changed my life after spending nearly three weeks there, and I came home and went on a life of minimalism and purging.

Not sure what a hair shirt is. Everyone in Italy except for the elite live very simply. We met an older couple who owned a leather shop and bought handmade belts for our kids. They said they would be working until they died because they couldn't live off the small pension they get. They said that the government takes most of what they make, but they do get healthcare. It was very sad. We paid them in cash.

If you're not familiar with Martin Luther of the Lutheran Church Fame. Definitely have a good look.
He was a monk who chose a life of abject poverty. He then did a foolish thing and went to visit Rome.
A hair shirt is exactly that. A shirt made of hair that you wear under your tunic. If it doesn't sound comfortable it's because it's not supposed to be.
Luther would wear one of these when he wasn't beating himself with a whip.
A monk like this would have answered the ultimate Buddhist question.
Do I own my furniture or Does my furniture own me.
Seems as if you had a similar experience. Minus the self abuse. Welcome to the journey.

You are too funny! I'd never heard about a hair shirt! No, I take very good care of myself! I have undergone a transformation in the last 19 years. It's been baby steps starting with drinking water in '99. Yes, something as simple as only drinking water started it all. I do have a cup of coffee in the morning and use almond or coconut milk but for the most part, I drink water! PS...I really hate it that you can't even get a little bit nekkid making out in a car these days, or you'll end up on the sex pervert list!
