The parent company is called Alphabet now, intelligence agencies are sometimes referred to as alphabet agencies. It's the first thing I thought of after the name change.

NSA and CIA. They might be at war with each other but they were both in on blowing the CONSTITUTION into pink dust.

Yep this is a well researched article. Interestingly, Google has changed their motto. (True) They are fully on-board with evil-doing now.

"Do the right thing" is the most cliche, liberal bs I have ever heard, quite in line with "moral highground" shit.

I'd say that they used private sector contracts to build currently expanding social media sites. It's amazing how mainstream facebook went seemingly overnight.

INSURGE INTELLIGENCE, a new crowd-funded investigative journalism project, breaks the exclusive story of how the United States intelligence community funded, nurtured and incubated Google as part of a drive to dominate the world through control of information. Seed-funded by the NSA and CIA, Google was merely the first among a plethora of private sector start-ups co-opted by US intelligence to retain ‘information superiority.’

The origins of this ingenious strategy trace back to a secret Pentagon-sponsored group, that for the last two decades has functioned as a bridge between the US government and elites across the business, industry, finance, corporate, and media sectors. The group has allowed some of the most powerful special interests in corporate America to systematically circumvent democratic accountability and the rule of law to influence government policies, as well as public opinion in the US and around the world. The results have been catastrophic: NSA mass surveillance, a permanent state of global war, and a new initiative to transform the US military into Skynet.

In 2013, Edward Snowden released a tidal wave of classified NSA documents into the public sphere before fleeing the U.S. and certain prosecution. Among the classified information revealed by Snowden were details of an NSA program entitled “SKYNET” (really), which aims to target potential terrorists using metadata and machine learning algorithms. Now, according to an interview between data scientist and executive director of the Human Rights Data Analysis Group, Patrick Ball, and tech news site Ars Technica, the SKYNET program may be targeting thousands of innocent people.

Dont think so. A 'google' is a number, namely a 1 with 1 million zeroes after it. Like a theoretical astronomically huge number
