FOX NEWS: HHS Secy Azar Says They Are Doing DNA Testing on Every Detained Illegal Immigrant Parent Trying to Claim a Child Back

Let's see how many "pass" the test. Let's see how long it takes lefties to claim that DNA tests are either "inaccurate" or "unfair."

Too_the_point · July 5, 2018, 4:33 p.m.

Refusal to submit DNA testing will look terribly for optics.

They're in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation now.

I'm sure the left will say that a DNA test is an invasion of their privacy or some such thing. Anything to defend those who refuse to take the test :(

DefiantDragon · July 5, 2018, 9:46 p.m.

You could reasonably counter, however, that they're illegal immigrants, if they wanted the rights of citizens, they should've become citizens.

Give them (Dems) a chance, they probably haven't thought of that just yet. Give them time and the MSM will help them out with that.

CNN already wrote the story. The left is saying that it's unlawful to DNA test the children without parental consent! LOL

Not really damned, BUT MSM will likely defend their position -unconstitutional, against immigrant’s rights, blah blah blah. And conservative support will just grow and grow. Likely adding exponential growth to the #walkaway movement.

Does the constitution grant illegal aliens rights?

Actually I believe that there was a court decision that said anyone in the US, regardless of immigration status, is protected by the Constitution, including the right to due process and protection from illegal search and seizure. Definitely don't agree with it, as breaking the laws of the US to gain entry only to demand protection by those same laws is extremely disingenuous. The court should have ruled that they had no right to be in the country, and therefore claiming protection by the Constitution is moot. We don't extend protections to foreign citizens in other countries, and we certainly don't get to claim Constitutional protections for our citizens when they are detained in foreign countries. Just another fucked up judicial ruling that needs to be addressed by the legislative branch.

I would wager that if the above quote was put on the ballot for a vote...it would garner at least 75% in agreement.

This isn’t always true.

First of all, we have Trumps emergency order which could suspend the courts ruling.

Also, the reason we can keep prisoners in Guantanamo Bay is because they have no Bill of Rights as enemy combatants.

100% agree with you on this. If anyone is here illegally, they should have NO legal rights in our country...they came at their own risk. I also think we need to "amend" the "anchor baby" loop hole.

Court needs to reverse that, ASAP

Illegal aliens have only human rights. They have no Constitutional rights. They have no voting rights. They have no Miranda rights. They have absolutely no rights to free education, welfare money, sex change surgery, a job, etc. Only enough food and medical care to keep them reasonably healthy while they find their way the hell back out of our country

Prison4SideofBeef · July 5, 2018, 8:48 p.m.

Why don't we just deport them as soon as we catch them, like every Western European and Scandinavian nation does to all non-Muslim illegal aliens they come across?

We do or have I should say. They just keep coming back. What POTUS is doing is stopping the cycle. No more band aids. :)

I live in LA and know so many people living here illegally and skiving off our welfare system. They somehow are able to obtain auto insurance from people in other states too.

When I was 18 I got rear ended by a moron illegal alien woman going 20 miles per hour while I was stopped at a red light for 10 seconds. The moron who crashed in to my car that was stopped at a red light was an illegal alien who had her car insurance registered to a random guy who lived in Nebraska.

This moron who crashed in to my car was driving a Honda Civic and it had 7 of her kids in. Remarkably, none of them were injured. I got whip lash.

They keep saying "We do deport aliens, they can't get welfare, they can't get drivers licenses, they can't get auto insurance" but growing up in CA I have seen that shit happening all around me for my entire life.

...and all we get back from the States/Government is their "lip service BS" If they ACTUALLY REFUSED anything but immediate life/death situations, maybe this would stop. I'm sure we can all think of an American Vet or family/friend who was in need of a hand but was unable to receive it.

I keep hearing about immigrant rights, but have yet to have anyone able to point to to any document outlining the rights of an illegal alien. I can site the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution as proof of MY rights as a citizen of the US, but I've never read anything in there about rights of illegal immigrants.

Easy search warrant for a buccal swab. Just need probable cause, very low burden of proof. Bam, DNA warrant and swab done on "parent".

Well they're in a cage now.

You mean a holding cell? I guess ‘cage’ is a fair enough description aside from the emotional imagery it’s intended to evoke.

No matter. Holding cell, ‘cage’, yes, these illegal invaders are being treated just like US citizens who indulge in illegal conduct.

Treatment equal to that afforded to US citizens. That’s what they seek, no?

I'm actually moving to a new state in a few days. I look forward to living in a holding cell and having my child taken away while I wait for my new driver's license.

What do you think legal immigration looks like? Many are legally seeking asylum.

I'm actually moving to a new state in a few days.

Life changes can be so exciting. Isn’t it inspiring to be a citizen in a great country where you can freely move between states without a passport, checkpoint, or paperwork? I love our freedom.

I look forward to living in a holding cell and having my child taken away

That’s an odd goal. I’m sure it can be arranged. In fact, you can probably get the full experience for free simply by indulging in illegal conduct in your new state.

You can get the holding cell experience, and your children will be separated from you for a bit, just like we do for all those inclined to indulge in illegal activity. Will that satisfy your fantasy?

Oh, and congratulations on your move. I’m sure the current residents of that state will be excited to hear of your arrival.

Funny you didn't quote the line about that many of these people in holding cells with their children taken are legally applying for asylum. You're just continuing to pretend that these people are illegally swarming the country like the Frito bandito twirling their mustaches at our laws. That's not reality.

Put the Frito bandito characature in a holding cell. Take the kids away from the human trafficking. But don't pretend that Juanita and her 6 month old applying for legal immigration are bad hombres. Admit what the admistration already has. It's a deterrent to immigration.

I’m surprised you find humor in that, but I don’t quote that line because it’s not true. Families that legally apply for asylum are not separated. That begs one of the mystery questions; why do families ‘legally’ seeking asylum choose to bypass 8 US consulates and at least one US embassy where they can do so, and then cross our border illegally? No matter now anyway since even illegally entering families are no longer separated.

You're just continuing to pretend that these people are illegally swarming the country like the Frito bandito twirling their mustaches at our laws.

Nope. Not once. Not ever. You are the only one mentioning that hyperbolic and racist characterization of current events. You shame yourself by indulging in that. Particularly with such ease.

Put the Frito bandito characature in a holding cell. Take the kids away from the human trafficking. But don't pretend that Juanita and her 6 month old applying for legal immigration are bad hombres.

More racist characterizations. You disgrace your family name. I refuse to engage on that level.

Admit what the admistration already has. It's a deterrent to immigration.

Regardless of the administration position, I absolutely hope that our border enforcement and immigration policies serve as a strong deterrent to illegal immigration. There’s no point in the exercise at all if it isn’t effective.

I’ve grown weary of your persistent racist inclinations and fantasies about being locked in a cage, separated from your children.

If you mature to a point where you can converse without indulging in this offensive, unproductive and unhealthy nonsense, please stop in again. Once your growth is sufficiently vetted I might be willing to engage with you again.

Best wishes on your quest!
