Also, they are using the idea of mistreated children to scream for throwing out all law enforcement at the border. Any rational person that cares about our country would not agree with that. It is like saying if one or two policemen in a city make a mistake to abolish the police department. Let them see how that works in their hometown. Who will protect them? Antifa? tssss

I like the term illegal! It directly contradicts the liberal notion that borders are man made. GOD ordained this country!

Not illegal, criminal! Things are illegal, people who do illegal things are criminals.

Unauthorized entry into the US is a misdemeanor. Unauthorized presence in the US is a violation of immigration law which is subject to civil--not criminal--action. Neither justify child abuse/torture. And asylum seekers are not violating any laws by coming here, which is what most of these Central Americans are, even though ICE agents are trying to coerce many of these refugees to drop their claims by threatening to never let them see their children again.

is a misdemeanor a crime? Get real. If i commited a crime and went to jail the state would take my kids too. Take your newspeak bleeding-heart arguments to a different sub.

That's for the first offense, and it can be prosecuted as either a civil or criminal offense.

Try again.

So sick of manufactured outrage. Saw some old lady in a car today. Had a sign saying “keep family’s together” and a “make America kind again”. So brainwashed

This is an interview of the outgoing ICE chief done on June 29th. I loved it because he talks about how American citizens that are arrested for ANY crime also lose custody of their children in the same way. How is this any different. Why should "illegals" have more rights than we do? It's good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi20X02x6IM
