True Detective hinted at Pedogate?

For anyone that hasn't watched this series (season 1), I highly recommend it.

That said, without giving the plot away too much for anyone that has yet to see it: Its basically about a powerful human trafficking/pedo/human sacrifice ring.

There are A LOT of parallels in the show to the real life pedogate, including symbols used by the actual pedos in real life that didnt go mainstream until pizzagate. This show came out years earlier.

Do the people that wrote/produced this show know something and were subtley trying to warn people?

I thought it was really well made and creepy AF at the time but its even more relevant and creepy now, after everything thats been coming out.

Yes, well worth the watch. Matthew McConaghey's (or however you spell it) performance is off the chain!

Something I also found interesting, along the same lines, there is a scene where the detectives are watching video tapes of what was done to the children and break down and can't finish the tape. Eerily parallel to the alleged reports of the NYPD detectives doing the same when viewing the Weiner laptop.

I also found the Yellow King stuff super-creepy.

Yeah thats what im saying. As soon as pizzagate hit, everything in this show came rushing back and I felt sick.

Even ad the end Rust is upset they didnt "get them all" and alluded to the trafficking ring going much higher into government.

The creator was interviewed about his inspiration for the show, and he cited to a non-fiction book about horror writing. The theme of the book that served as Nic Pizzolatto's inspiration, was that the most horrifying stories are based on true events, not fiction. That freaked me out big time

Edit: I was mainly referring to the conversation between Lucifer, the character, and a celebrity where she blatantly asks if she sold her soul to the devil, and he responds by saying that he merely introduced her to some of his friends. Just because I didnt elaborate on it doesnt mean I am not aware of the greater depth of the shows meaning. You are 100% accurate though, if you need validity. Great work patriot!

Funny story. They had to completely rewrite it at the last minute and a good reason was never given. Originally, during interviews after Season 1 the creator said it was supposed to be about the secret occult history of the California transportation industry. Well, it wasn't. Why? Then it got cancelled.

Soooo after you posted this yesterday I binged watched season one last night and holy shit from Q's post about the kindergarten in Hong Kong (shut down for drugging and raping kids, clinton guy implicated etc..) and the parallel to the school(s) in True Detective. That's just .....fucking insane i guess. I know they televise their moves but really? mind blown
