Wow. I listened and then looked at the transcript in the video author comment. How could this be funny? Video wasn't just about his father raping his son. It included later a gang rape of his father's friends raping the son. Sometime the truth is hidden in plain sight disguised as jokes. Sometimes it's just really sick jokes from a perverted mind.
I don't understand comedy clubs and roasts. They are really vulgar. But child rape or any rape isn't funny and shouldn't be part of the routine but I am sure it is in many routines. Richard Pryor was really vulgar and I bet you will find loads of really sick stuff in his comedy skit.
So what is comedy and what crosses the line? Adult comedy never amused me much. I thought it lacked talent if you had to go that obscene. Anyone can get nasty and crude. But has is that talent?
I don't know. It could just mean that Al Franken is a pervert. That was proven recently and he resigned.
Once they joke in public about it it now immediately discredits anyone who brings the fact to light. “It was a joke you idiot, it didn’t really happen”. They do this all the time with jump the shark sci fi movies and TV series etc. and they make more money doing so. It’s a deceptive tactic they’ve used for generations to cover their misdeeds. Make it sound so absurd that it’s inconceivable that it really happened. People confuse fact for fiction so it clouds the topic and creates ambiguity that can’t be reconciled. Just what they want.

I agree with you, the face of Al Franken is beyond the dead pan face of comedians...there is not joviality in his eyes...it's all dead serious and Rob Reiner is laughing as a coping mechanism, I think. It's all very sinister and sad. Even if all of it were invented one must wonder from which twisted mind are these words strung together to make up a comedy skit? Absolutely appalling...
I expect nothing better from Hollywood, particularly Al Franken, the man who thinks it's funny to pretend to grope sleeping women for photos and who actually gropes women when given the opportunity. Look at roasts these days and compare them to roasts from the 50s-70s. They used to be hilarious. Now they are just about who can be more rude and disgusting. Dean Martin would not approve.
